6th GRADE COMPREHENSIVE SCIENCE
The purpose of this course is to provide opportunities for the study of general concepts, theories, and processes relating to the earth/space sciences, and their applications through exploratory investigations and activities. The content should include, but not be limited to, the following: the nature of science, astronomy, the Earth as a system, weather, the ocean's environment, and the formation and properties of rocks and minerals. A Science Fair project and the scientific method will also be a part of this course.
7TH GRADE COMPREHENSIVE SCIENCE
The purpose of this course is to provide opportunities to study concepts of life, Earth/space science, and physical sciences, and their applications to everyday life. The concept should include, but not be limited to, the following: the nature of science, the nature of matter, energy, force and motion, processes that shape the Earth, Earth and space, processes of life, and how living things interact with their environment. A Science Fair project and the scientific method will also be a part of this course.
8TH GRADE COMPREHENSIVE SCIENCE
