  • College Planning for the class of 2021

Now is the time for seniors - the Class of 2021 - to get serious about their college plans, research schools on line and get ready to complete/submit applications in September/October (depending on college application deadlines - which are different for each school).

Based on questions asked in a Schoology survey in the spring, the handout below provides answers and resources to help students take the necessary steps to be ready.  Questions like: When do I apply for college? How many should I apply to?  How do I apply for financial aid? What's going on with SAT and ACT testing?

In addition, juniors received a packet in November (in US History classes) that has additional information - also available here.

  • Volunteer - help our school and community

Being a volunteer allows you to help those in need and to experience personal growth.  There are so many different ways to perform community service, but it's up to you to find what you enjoy.  The attached document may help you identify ways to volunteer. It's a little trickier now that many organizations are closed (or limiting volunteers) because of COVID 19, but get creative and find ways to be a "virtual" volunteer.  Remember, you must work with your guidance counselor to get projects approved before you start and also to document your hours. Those forms are on the Guidance page of the MHS website.
