Congratulations Seniors! If you opted out of the Graduation ceremony and need to pick up your diploma, please stop by the school on Friday, June 4 between 8am-2pm to pick it up at the Front Office. This would also be the time to stop by if you have any issues or errors on the diploma you received at the ceremony. Thank you!

Update on Mask Mandate for Graduation:
As of today, masks are now optional for students, staff and guests at the June 2 Braden River High School Graduation. Students, if you do choose to wear a mask, please wear the “BRHS Class of 2021” Black mask you were given in your cap and gown bag. Thank you!
Seniors, if you were unable to get your cap and gown at the rehearsal and pickup today at 2pm, we have the remaining items up front in the office. They can be picked up tomorrow, Thursday the 27th between 9am-10am in the Front Office. You will need to have ID with you, and sign out the items during those times. They will not be available for pickup any other time. Should there be an issue we will have some extra caps and gowns at the Graduation ceremony, but will be unable to pass out any tickets at that time.
Graduation Rehearsal/Cap and Gown Pickup Reminder:
Don't forget that tomorrow is the Class of 2021 Graduation Rehearsal! This is a MANDATORY event for all Graduating Seniors to attend. The rehearsal begins at 2pm on campus. Please look at the flyer posted below on this page, or posted on the Senior Schoology page to find the specific location you should report to first. Students are broken up into Academy and will be split between the Auditorium and Cafeteria depending on their starting location.
At tomorrow’s rehearsal, students will be given their graduation attire, graduation tickets, and an informational letter to take home to their families with Graduation day information. Students will also be able to pick up their t-shirts, sweatshirts or yard signs if they did not get them throughout the year.
Parents, please wait and look to the informational letter that your students bring home, as it will likely answer most of the questions you have about Graduation day. Please also take time to look through the updates on the Senior page of our website for more information that has been posted throughout the year about seniors and graduation.
This is a final reminder that any senior who has outstanding debts with the school and/or an outstanding $90 senior fee will not be allowed to pick up their graduation items tomorrow until those debts are paid. We will be able to take payments tomorrow with our bookkeeper.

Graduation Ticket Update:
As many of you already know, each Senior student now has 10 tickets for Graduation! We would just like to clarify a few things about this ticket increase. 10 tickets per person includes all ages including babies, toddlers, and small children. It does not matter the age or seating choice, each person attending the event must have a ticket. 1 ticket = 1 person. Please remember this as you are planning your guest counts with attending friends and family.
You will all receive your tickets on May 26th at the Graduation Rehearsal. See you soon!
Graduation Rehearsal & Cap/Gown Pick Up

Top 10%, Arts, & Business Academies are in the Auditorium; Engineering and Science Academy will be in the cafeteria.
We will switch at 3 PM. Plan to be there from 2 PM - 4 PM.

Graduation ticket update: We have received confirmation from LECOM stadium that all graduating seniors will receive 4 guest tickets per student. You will receive these tickets on May 26th at your Cap/Gown Pickup at 2pm.
Text Book Return update:
The textbook room will be open BEFORE SCHOOL starting next week for any SENIOR that wants to return their books. The bookroom will remain open through SENIOR exam week for returns in the morning. You may return your books any morning, starting next week. Do not delay getting these items turned back in!
Here are a few updates for you regarding Graduation and upcoming events:
Please be sure to fill out the Sign up Genius RSVP for the "Anchor's Away" Senior dinner (see the previous post below for this link). We need to get a count of students attending to plan for food and seating. The deadline for this RSVP is Monday, April 26th. This is a FREE event for the entire Senior Class, and no ticket purchase is required. Dress is semi-formal, similar to what you would wear for homecoming or a formal dinner. Polo Shirts, button down shirts, dress pants, semi formal dresses (no prom styles), semi-formal girl's shirts/dress pants/skirts, etc. are all acceptable options.
Please verify that you have paid the $90 Senior fee. Names have been turned over to bookkeeping for those of you who have not paid. This is now a debt with the school. You are not able to participate in graduation or get your diploma without senior debts being paid.
Wednesday, May 26th is our scheduled Cap and Gown pickup day and Graduation Rehearsal. This will take place at 2pm, starting in the courtyard by the Cafeteria. You will get your graduation gear at your assigned Academy table, then at 2:30 head into the Auditorium for a rehearsal and more items you will need to collect. We will also have Kona Ice on campus and a selfie spot by your SAB members! This is a MANDATORY Senior event. If you are not able to attend, you must have a documented reason in writing submitted to Mrs. Rodriguez at least one week prior, and someone else must be scheduled to pick up your items that day. Senior Exam Week Schedule
See the attachment for the senior exam schedule. Prior to senior exam week, you will receive an exemption form that your teachers will be able to sign if you qualify. We are working on those soon. The official exemption form will be your pass to arrive and leave campus during the senior exam week. Students are only required to be on campus for the exams that are not exempted.
If you have still not paid your $90 Senior fee, please read the following update:
- Your Senior Fee must be paid if you would like to participate in Graduation and receive your diploma.
- You may drop off a check or cash in a sealed envelope with your name and student ID number on it to the Front Office. Payments will not be collected past 3pm each afternoon. Payments will not be collected if any of these items are missing.
- Since we are past the due dates, receipts will not be given for these payments.
- If you do not wish to walk in the Graduation Ceremony, please see our previous post with the Graduation Opt-Out form that needs to be turned in. Senior fees still need to be paid, as they cover the cost of diplomas, senior gear, additional fees for events and privileges, etc.
- If you are experiencing a financial hardship, please reach out to Mrs. Rodriguez immediately.

Senior Project Reminder!!
You need to reach out to Mrs. Reid about Senior Project questions. You need to get your project turned in to her as soon as possible in order to participate in the Graduation Ceremony. Students, if you do NOT wish to participate in our 2021 Graduation Ceremony, please fill out the form above and submit to Mrs. Rodriguez in person in room 118C, or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. We need this form returned by Friday, April 30th.
Senior Celebrations 2021:
Can you believe we are already 3 weeks into quarter 4? See the attachment for a list of what Mrs. Rodriguez and your Senior Advisory Board are planning for your end of the year season. 2021 Senior Celebrations
Keep working hard and pushing to the finish line. If you are struggling, reach out to someone for help. Use your resources. We will continue sharing updates and details as we have things ironed out.
Graduation Speaker Applications:
Are you interested in being a speaker and representing your class at the Class of 2021 Graduation this year? Please see the application form below. Be sure to FULLY read the form to understand the expectations and deadlines. A teacher recommendation is required, and all speaker applications are due back on Thursday, April 1st by 3pm. Applications can be dropped off to Mrs. Rodriguez in room 118C, or to Mrs. Austerman in the front office. Auditions will be held the following week at a scheduled time per speaker. If chosen, be prepared to have your full speech ready no later than Tuesday, April 6th.

Final Senior Fee Payment window update:
Your FINAL window to pay your Senior fee has been extended to the week of March 29th. You can make your $90 Senior fee payment before or after school in Mrs. Rodriguez’s office next to Student Services Monday, March 29th through Thursday, April 1st. Payment must be in the form of cash or check only. DO NOT stop to make payment between classes, during lunch or during the day. Only students/parents who have made specific appointments with Mrs. Rodriguez will have money accepted during the day.
To speed the process along, if you DO NOT need a receipt, you may put your payment in a sealed envelope with your First name, Last name and Student ID number and hand this to Mrs. Rodriguez during the payment times. You do not need to wait in line for a receipt after that. If any of those items are missing from your envelope your payment will not be processed.
Seniors, please remember that this fee covers all of your Senior items (sweatshirt, t shirt, lanyards, etc) but this fee also includes the cost of your Graduation items: cap, gown, medallion, tassel, diploma, graduation fees, etc. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PICK UP A CAP AND GOWN OR OTHER GRADUATION ITEMS if you have not paid this fee, no exceptions.

**Seniors- we have a group of you that we still need cap and gown sizing information for! Please head over to the Senior Schoology page to see the current list of students who we are missing height/weight information for. We need this information in by Friday morning, or a generic cap and gown size will be ordered for all of those missing.

Final T-shirt and Sweatshirt pickup alert!
This Thursday, March 11th we will have sweatshirts and t-shirts outside, to the right of the flagpole out front for those of you who still need to pick these up. This is scheduled to be our last pickup for these items, so be sure to come by to grab them between 2:30-3:00pm Thursday, March 11th!
Senior Graduation Update:
A final decision has been made regarding the Class of 2021 Graduation. The BRHS Graduation date will be Wednesday, June 2 at 8:00am at LECOM Park stadium. Each Senior will receive two admission tickets for the ceremony. We will host a cap and gown pickup on the BRHS campus, along with a graduation practice on Wednesday, May 26th after school. More information to come on that pickup date.
Some other important Senior, end-of-year information:
The last full day of classes for Seniors will be May 7.
Senior exam week is May 10-14.
The last day of school for Seniors is Friday, May 14th. This is also the last day for any make-up exams.

Sweatshirts are ready for pickup!
Senior Sweatshirts are here! Come and pick yours up on Friday, Feb. 19th between 7:00-7:30am in the courtyard next to the Media Center, or after school from 2:35-3:00pm after school (next to the flagpole out front of school).
Senior Fee due!
This week, Feb. 8-12, is the third window to make your Senior fee payment if you have not already! The final window is March 29th-April 1st. Payment can be made to Mrs. Rodriguez before or after school, or during the day with notice given first. $90, cash or check only. DO NOT LEAVE payment, it must be processed in person and you need to be given a receipt. Parents are welcome to drop off payment to the school as well (be sure to call or email Mrs. Rodriguez in advance to notify when you are coming).
T-Shirt pickup alert!
If you were not able to grab your Senior t-shirt and lanyard on the last pick up day, SAB will have another pick up day this Friday, January 29th. Come grab your items before school from 7:00am-7:30am at the tables to the right of the Media Center in the courtyard, or after school from 2:30pm-3:00pm at the tables set up to the left of the flag poles out in front of the school. All students may pickup during either of these times, including E-Learners and Dual-enrolled students. Email Mrs. Rodriguez with any questions.
College Financial Aide alert!
Seniors, check out the attached flyer here for information on our upcoming FAFSA workshops for parents and students! Free money for college! Help with the process! You can get it all at one of our live ZOOM workshops!

The Yearbook staff would like to give the class of 2021 the opportunity to choose Senior Quotes for your yearbook! On Tuesday, January 19th Seniors on campus will be given a form in your first period to record your Senior Quote, along with any clubs or other school organizations you're a part of. E-Learners will be emailed this form to their school email.
So, this means you all need to spend some time this week thinking of what YOU want to say. No inappropriate messages will be accepted. All inappropriate material will be tossed out and replaced with a generic quote. Remember seniors, your words matter! Make it memorable!

Senior Event Alert!!
Seniors, get here early Friday morning, January 8th, and come see your Senior Advisory Board members in the courtyard, next to the Media Center! They will be there with delicious, fresh donuts, your senior t-shirts, and lanyards! Be sure to arrive with enough time- no late passes will be issued! We will be there starting at 7am!
**E-learners, dual-enrolled students, and full time SCF/MTC students- you are welcome to stop by between 7am-7:30am to participate, but be on the lookout for a second pickup day for your t-shirts and lanyards in the next few days!

There are four opportunities per year to make the Senior fee payment. Seniors may pay the $90 fee in one lump sum, or break it up into installments over the remaining four windows to pay. Payment can be made in the form of cash or check, and must be given to Mrs. Rodriguez in Room 118C before or after school.
The remaining windows to pay the Senior fee are:
- February 8-12
- March 29-April 1

Senior Information Forms
Senior information forms were distributed through all Social Studies classes for both on-campus and eLearning students. A copy of the form can be found on the Seniors 2021 Schoology page, or at the Important Links section below!
- This form must be filled out and returned to Senior Sponsor Mrs. Rodriguez if students would like an appropriately sized t-shirt and sweatshirt!
- Herff Jones Cap & Gown sizing information must be collected from all Seniors this year. To access the digital form and submit your information, text CONTACT to 70934.

Senior Pictures & Yearbook Information
Senior Picture Update: Seniors, it is time to start thinking about booking those yearbook pictures!
- The last day for all Seniors to be photographed is December 19th. You can book your photos with Cady Studios at their Tampa studio. Additional information can always be found in the links above.
- We do have ONE additional day left for Seniors to book photos on campus Tuesday, December 8th. You will need to book these through Cady Studios at the contact information below.
