Panther families,

Good evening! This is a reminder that benchmark assessments start this week and will end on Feb. 11th. Students will report to their 1st period class as usual and take the assessments in specific classes. For this week on campus, all grades will take the math assessment in math class on Monday, Feb. 1st and Tuesday, Feb. 2nd and 8th graders will take the science assessment on Wednesday, Feb. 3rd & Thursday, Feb. 4th in their 8th grade science class. English Language Arts and Civics will be taken next week. eLearners will take 6th & 7th math and 8th science on Tuesday, Feb. 2nd from 9:30-11:30 am and 8th math & 6th ELA on Wednesday, Feb. 3rd from 9:30-11:30 am. We are confident all students will do well. We will use the data to provide support or enrichment for students.

Thank you for ensuring your child is dressed for success every day with appropriate attire aligned with our school's dress code policy, a clean and properly fitting mask, and their ID & lanyard. Students also should be reminded to put their phones away when entering campus. If a phone is taken, it must be picked up by a parent or guardian.

Progress reports will be posted in the Focus Parent Portal on Tuesday, Feb. 9th. School Advisory Council (SAC) will hold a virtual meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 9th at 5:30 pm. Mark your calendars for Freddy's spirit night on Wednesday, Feb. 10th from 4-8 pm.

If your child is sick or has symptoms, has been tested for Covid-19 or someone in the home has been tested and awaiting results, or has been exposed to someone who has tested positive for Covid-19, your child must stay home. Please call the school to let us know and have your child either email his or her teachers for the work or go in Schoology to get the assignments. Make-up testing will be provided by the teachers if your child returns within the testing window.

As always, we thank you for your flexibility, patience, understanding and support. We are the home of the Panthers, where we believe and achieve.

Best regards,

Mrs. Zenon-Richardson
