Greetings Panther families,

We are nine days away from the end of quarter 3, which ends on Thursday, March 11th. Please be sure to check Focus regularly to ensure your child is on target for success. Renaissance eligibility can be found on pg. 15 of the student handbook.

This is a reminder students cannot drink from the water fountains. Please ensure your child has a water bottle with him or her every day.

Congrats to the soccer teams on a great season! The championships start this week with us facing Nolan Middle School on Monday, March 1st at 5:30 pm at the Braden River Soccer fields behind Lakewood Ranch High School. The cost is $2 per student and $3 per adult. All students must be accompanied by an adult. On Tuesday, March 2nd, the winner will face Mona Jain at Braden River Park and then the semi-finals and finals will be held on Thursday, March 3rd and Friday, March 4th. We are looking to win them all!

Open field for flag football will take place this week on Wednesday & Thursday from 4:15-6:00 pm. Open court for volleyball will take place on Monday and Thursday from 4:30-6:00 pm and on Wednesday from 4:30-5:30 pm. In order for a student to stay after school, he or she must have a ride to pick them up at the end of practice and all students must be picked up in the bus loop, which is on the side of campus closest to the elementary school.

Congrats to TSA (Technology Student Association) for great representation in the state competition this weekend!

The fun continues this week in 1st period classes with our spring donation drive. Mrs. Palmiere's 1st period class is in the lead so far. Let's see if any of the other classes can take the lead this week. Thanks to all for the support so far!

This is a reminder, supervision is not available before 8:45 am or after 4:40 pm. Please do not drop off students prior to this time or pick them up after this time. If this is an issue, your child will need to join the YMCA before & after school program. Also, please adhere to the speed requirements while in the parent pick up loop in order to avoid any possible issues.

For safety purposes, if your child is sick or has symptoms, has been tested or someone in the household has been tested for Covid-19 and awaiting results, or has been exposed to someone who has tested positive for Covid-19, he or she must stay home. Please contact the school and let us know and then either have him or her email their teachers or check for the work in Schoology. Even while on quarantine, students are expected to work.

Students must "dress for success" on a daily basis with a mask covering their nose and mouth, their lanyard & ID and the appropriate attire as listed in our dress code policy. Students may not wear leggings unless they have a finger-tip length article of clothing on with it and they may not wear jeans or pants with holes or slits showing skin.

As always, thank you for your patience, understanding and support. We are the home of the Panthers, where we believe and achieve!

Best regards,

Kimberlain Zenon-Richardson
