    PCHS is Academic State Runner Up for Athletics

    With the release of the Spring Athletic teams' academic state rankings, Parrish Community High School finishes as the State Runner-Up with a total of 91 points. Athletic Director Shawn Trent states that this is the highest the school has ever placed. He also extends appreciation to the teachers who helped the student athletes achieve their academic goals.

    Parrish Community High School’s Lady Bulls softball team faced a tough opponent in the state semifinal match against Pace High School (ranked #18 in the nation), with a 2-0 loss that eliminated them from defending their back-to-back state championships.

    Flag Football dominates season with strong team mentality

    The flag football season at Parrish Community High School had an incredible season, making school history in a variety of ways. They held the most wins ever with a season record of 11-4, advanced to regional finals for the first time, and had their first victory over rival Braden River High School.

    The Parrish Bulls Baseball team concluded their state series play with an unfortunate loss against Wharton High School in the regional quarterfinals. However, they had a great season, ending with an impressive 20-7 record.

    Herald Tribune Spring Player of the Year Nominees Announced

    The Herald Tribune finished gathering its list of nominees for Player of the Year for their annual Sarasota and Manatee County Sports Awards Program with spring sports. The ceremony will take place on May 30 at Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall in Sarasota.
