School Health

Nurse hand and hand with students
  • The School Health staff are employed by The School District of Manatee County and Manatee County Health Department.  School Clinics are staffed by a School Nurse (Registered Nurse), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and/or Health Aide.

School Health staff work with students, families, healthcare providers, and community resources to promote a collaborative approach to improve health and learning.  School Nurses and Clinic staff coordinate care for students with acute and chronic health needs, provide health education, and assist the education team in the establishment of Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
